In his 1932 Pennsylvania State College B.S. thesis, Griffin discusses the national trends of westward shift of cotton and wheat farming, dairy production shift as urban milk demand grows, hay acreage constancy although work animals have become fewer, the poultry industry, types of farming on larger farms, specialization and mechanization; and specific trends in Pennsylvania for various crops and production.
